Often while surfing the web, a warning like this one will pop up, looking just like the real thing from a trusted source, like "Microsoft Windows™ Security Center."

These phony warnings are designed to hook the unsuspecting Internet User into activating them which downloads and implants the virus and spyware bots onto their computers. Once the activation happens, the unsuspecting User really has trouble on their hands!

Most Virus infections are designed to modify your Internet Browser settings, so that the unsuspecing User believes they have lost their ability to connect to the Internet.

This fraud generally results in the User believing they cannot download the necessary tools to remove the Virus due to the fact they cannot get on-line.

During a Remote Session over the telephone, I can walk you through the steps to restore your internet connection.

Once your connection is restored, I can then establish a secure Remote connection to your computer and remove the infection(s).

At the same time I will also increase the operating speed of your computer, enhancing your User experience.

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, then it's time to give me a call to isolate the viruses, remove them and get you back up and running without any future problems. Depending on the extent of the infection, I may need to take your computer to my Workshop and run removal programs over a 24 to 48 hour period. While this may sound expensive, in most cases the total cost to you is one hour of hands-on service time.

If there is additional work that needs to be done, such as completely wiping the hard drive and reinstalling your Operating System, slightly higher additional costs may be incurred. However at no time will the cost exceed a total of two hours hands-on service time to remove all viruses and reinstall your Operating System.

Here in this case, the majority of the viruses were sent embedded within email. This is just one way that a virus will infect your Mac.

The particular shareware program shown above, can be set up so that it is always scanning in the background, and will issue a warning whenever it detects a virus, whether while surfing the net or through emails received. The warning pane also gives you a choice as to what to do with the detected potential virus, since it is possible that it is not a virus but an attachment from a trusted source.

If your Mac becomes infected with a virus, you can expect to find multiple copies of files showing up, slower than usual internet connection, applications that quit unexpectedly over and over, and files that are missing, damaged, or corrupted. If the virus is also designed to disable your Hardware, you may experience problems with your keyboard and mouse being unresponsive or generating errors when you use them.
